Interim terms — pending attorney review

This is an interim process note written from how the product actually behaves. It is not lawyer-reviewed and does not replace legal advice. The designated-agent contact below is a placeholder pending counsel.

1. Filing a copyright notice

Copyright complaints are filed through POST /api/dmca/takedown. The request must include the URL of the allegedly infringing material (infringingUrl, a valid http(s) URL) and a contact email. You may also include the URL of the original work (workUrl), your name, and a description of the claim.

A valid notice must include the statutory elements: identification of the copyrighted work, identification of the infringing material, your contact information, a good-faith statement, a statement under penalty of perjury that you are authorized to act, and your signature. Submissions are rate-limited and CSRF-protected; false or knowingly misrepresented claims may carry liability.

2. What happens next

Valid notices lead to disabling access to the identified material with notice to the affected user, plus the statutory counter-notice path. Comment bodies that support @mentions are scanned for abuse before saving, but that scan is not a copyright determination.

Questions about a notice, a counter-notice, or an account affected by a takedown: use the support form (typical response within 24 hours) or email support@videoscreen.app. The designated-agent contact is a placeholder pending counsel.
