Interim terms — pending attorney review
Interim version 0.1 — 2026-10-19 · Interim terms — pending attorney review · not final, not lawyer-reviewed
This is an interim draft written from how the product actually behaves. It is not lawyer-reviewed, is not final, and does not replace legal advice. No published, jurisdiction-verified Terms of Service exists yet in the legal registry, so nothing on this page is currently in force as verified terms. By using IDEOSCREEN you acknowledge this page is interim and will change after attorney review.
IDEOSCREEN is a screenwriting workspace: projects, screenplays, characters, collaboration (comments, mentions, teams), script import/export, AI writing assistance, and paid subscription plans. These interim terms cover any person who creates an account or uses the product, on any plan (Freemium, Lite, Pro, Master, Enterprise).
English is the controlling language of this page. Machine-drafted product translations (Spanish, French, Arabic) do not change these terms.
You register with an email address and password, or with a configured social provider (Google, GitHub, Apple, Discord — availability depends on server configuration). Email verification is sent at signup. You must provide a working email address because verification, password reset, and billing notices go there.
You are responsible for keeping your credentials secret, for the devices listed under Settings > Security > Sessions (each shows IP address and expiry), and for revoking sessions you do not recognize. Sessions expire 30 days after issue and refresh on use. If you enable two-factor authentication (TOTP), protected areas additionally require the 2FA step-up check. API keys, OAuth client secrets, and script-signing private keys are shown once at creation — store them immediately; support cannot recover them.
One account per person. Misuse, credential sharing outside your seat allowance, or bypassing access controls may lead to suspension.
Paid tiers and declared INR list prices, matching the in-app catalog and checkout amounts (charged in paise): Lite Rs 499/month (Rs 4,790/year), Pro Rs 1,299/month (Rs 12,470/year), Master Rs 2,999/month (Rs 28,790/year). Freemium is Rs 0 forever. Enterprise is custom-priced — contact sales. Prices are in Indian rupees (INR); any converted display amounts in other currencies are estimates for reading only and never the charged amount.
Upgrades work as follows: go to Settings > Billing, choose a plan, and complete checkout. Changes take effect immediately with prorated billing, as stated in the Help Center. Checkout sessions are created through the configured payment provider (Stripe, Dodo, or Cashfree depending on server configuration; Stripe customer and subscription ids are stored on your subscription row). Checkout requests are rate-limited and idempotent, so double-submits do not create duplicate sessions.
Ongoing subscription management (payment methods, invoices) is handled through the provider customer portal: the portal endpoint creates a Stripe customer-portal session returning a URL. You need an existing subscription with a provider customer id, otherwise the request fails — if you have never checked out, there is nothing to manage yet. Downgrades, cancellations at period end, and payment failures follow provider webhook events; past-due handling and dunning follow the configured provider flow.
As stated in the Help Center FAQ, IDEOSCREEN offers a full refund within 7 days of any new subscription or upgrade. To request one, contact support with your account email (see section 11), or file a refund request for your own subscription with the amount, currency, and reason.
Honest mechanics you should know: a refund request is recorded as an auditable request with idempotency protection — it is not itself money movement. With no payment provider configured, the request is stored as requested and nothing is charged or returned. With a provider configured, the refund is executed through that provider and tracked to completion; a request stuck at pending_provider means "awaiting provider," never "refunded." Final refund timing depends on the provider and your bank. This 7-day statement is interim and must be confirmed by counsel (see the review notes).
AI features (story assistant, co-writer chat, beat sheets, scene/script analysis, suggestions, themes) are rate-limited, cached per prompt, and logged for usage tracking against your plan allowance (Freemium 100/month, Lite 1,000/month, Pro 5,000/month, Master 25,000/month, Enterprise custom). Limits reset monthly; over the limit, AI actions stop until the next cycle or an upgrade.
Interim ownership position, pending attorney confirmation: as between you and IDEOSCREEN, you retain whatever rights you hold in your input (scripts, prompts, characters, uploads) and in AI output generated for your account, subject to applicable law, third-party rights in training data, and the terms of the underlying model provider. AI output may resemble third-party material and is provided without any warranty of originality, non-infringement, or fitness for production. You are responsible for reviewing AI output before publishing, filing, or relying on it. Model training on your content is opt-in only (see Privacy Policy): content is not used to train models unless you explicitly grant the ai_training consent, which you may withdraw at any time.
You keep ownership of your projects, screenplays, characters, comments, uploads, and other content. By using IDEOSCREEN you grant us a limited, revocable, non-exclusive license to host, store, process, display, and transmit that content solely to operate the service for you (editing, collaboration, import/export, backups, abuse scanning of comments and mentions). This license ends when the content is deleted, subject to retention and legal holds described in the Privacy Policy.
You must not upload content you have no right to use; use the service to infringe copyrights, harass, or abuse collaborators; probe access controls; resell or share seats beyond your plan allowance; or submit takedown or refund requests you know to be false. Comment bodies support @mentions (which notify the mentioned user) and are scanned for abuse before saving. Copyright complaints follow the DMCA process note; valid notices lead to disabling access to the identified material with notice to the affected user, plus the statutory counter-notice path.
You may stop using IDEOSCREEN at any time. Paid subscriptions cancelled mid-term remain active until the end of the paid period unless a refund applies under section 4.
Account-data erasure is a two-step, confirmed flow in Settings > Privacy: (1) request deletion and receive a confirmation token valid for 10 minutes; (2) paste the token back to confirm. Erasure covers API keys, 2FA secrets, password-reset tokens, preferences, notifications, push subscriptions, bookmarks, activity logs, AI interactions, memories, export jobs, webhooks, signing keys, proof records, your comments, and team memberships — each reported back in a per-scope manifest, with legal holds refused loudly rather than silently skipped.
Two preconditions are enforced before erasure runs: an active paid subscription must be cancelled first (HTTP 409 otherwise), and shared-team or collaborator-content obligations must be transferred or resolved first (HTTP 409 otherwise). Deleted projects move to Trash first and can be restored from there before permanent removal. Billing records are retained 730 days and are never deleted without a compliance override; audit logs are retained 730 days. We may suspend accounts for non-payment, abuse, or legal compliance, with notice where feasible.
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind to the maximum extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, IDEOSCREEN's aggregate liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the amounts you paid in the 12 months before the claim (Rs 0 for Freemium users). These caps are interim placeholders — counsel must set governing law, venue, arbitration, class-action, and consumer-rights carve-outs (including any rights under Indian consumer law that cannot be limited).
We may change the service and these interim terms as the product evolves; material changes will be announced in-app and dated above. Continued use after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated interim terms until final counsel-approved terms replace them.
Questions about these interim terms, refunds, or account issues: use the support form (typical response within 24 hours; under 4 hours for Pro-and-above plans) or email support@videoscreen.app. Copyright (DMCA) notices follow the posted DMCA process note and must include the statutory elements; the designated-agent contact is a placeholder pending counsel (see review notes).
